brickwall_vewz1:21am: LET'S DO THIS!

i think we should definately start doing some promoting for this shit.

'name's trent, i've been playing bass for about six years. right now, i play an Ibanez GSR 200 (also known as winston). My cab is an Ampeg SVT-410HLF (1000 watt program handling, 500 watt RMS), and my head is an Ampeg SVT-3PRO. that stack is the reason i don't have a car. haha.

some of my personal favorite bassists are:

  • Jaco Pastorious. without a doubt, the greatest bass player of all time.
  • Victor Wooten. he plays with bela fleck and the flecktones - in my opinion, he's the best bass player alive today.
  • Matt Wong, of reel big fish - my reason for ever picking up a four string.
  • Les Claypool, of primus. c'mon, it's les!
  • Matt Freeman, of rancid... not really one of my favs, but he's got skills.

hopefully this'll get things rolling.

much love.

snooze8:08pm: Hello! First entry!
Okay, so at this time only Nikki and I even know this community exists. It basically came about when we were discussing how common it is for people to think that bassists are a dime a dozen and very easily replaced. We were also talking about some under-appreciated bassists. So, here is a place where some useful bassists can be talked about with admiration.

There's not much else to say, but hopefully, this community will take off in a bit.
